Yesterday, VirZOOM, a maker of virtual reality games, announced a partnership with AMD. VirZOOM will use AMD's graphics cards to provide VR fitness experiences for commercial venues such as gyms and shopping malls.
"We are very interested in this co-location of consumers and the upcoming opportunities." AMD director Daryl Sartain said.
Eric Janszen, president of VirZOOM, explained why we chose to cooperate with AMD: “Partners like AMD, HTC and Life Fitness have been promoting the commercialization of VR sports games, and AMD’s Radeon team has created a powerful PC that can support Experience VR easily in a commercial gym environment."
VirZOOM is currently installing their VR game contact platform on Life Fitness SE3 Discover Series bikes around the world. The high-end configuration of AMD's compact and lightweight PCs and HTC Vive's heads-up allows VirZOOM to inspire users with an unprecedented dynamic experience.
