Optoelectronic News Network: Has the recent financial crisis affected your company? Can you disclose the results of this year's performance and future forecasts?


Xiao Chengfeng: The financial crisis originating from the other side of the ocean has spread rapidly to every corner of the world, and all walks of life have been affected to varying degrees. Compared with other industries, the impact on the LED industry is relatively small. After several months of tracking analysis and practice of the LED industry in mainland China, we believe that the most affected areas are landscape lighting and automotive lighting. In other areas (information display, traffic signals, display backlights, semiconductor lighting), under the following factors, not only did not see a decline, but it has become increasingly fierce:


First, the further development of the national informatization strategy; second, the success of the Olympic Games; third, the further increase in energy conservation and emission reduction.


Inspur Huaguang is mainly engaged in research and development, production and promotion of LED chips for information display, traffic signals, display backlights, semiconductor lighting and other fields. Therefore, it has been affected in the financial crisis, but it is not very big. According to the operating conditions of the first 12 months of this year, although it has slowed down in the past two months, it has generally increased significantly compared with the same period of last year. With the successful breakthrough of large-scale mass production of Inspur Huaguang, development The pace will be further accelerated.


Optoelectronic News Network: In this crisis, what countermeasures do you think companies should take? How do you view the future of China's LED or LED lighting industry?


Xiao Chengfeng: The crisis has come. For any enterprise, there are both dangerous factors and organic components. How to find the source of danger and seize the opportunity, and then turn the crisis into opportunity is the first countermeasure that all enterprises should take. Second, seize the opportunity to practice internal strength. There are two aspects: on the one hand, the learning (R&D) and mastery of core technologies and processes, which is the key to the core competitiveness of each enterprise. The financial crisis has slowed down the pace of development of leading foreign companies, providing us with the opportunity to catch up; on the other hand, the ability to scale production management. Only when it is scaled up can we effectively reduce costs and provide services to customers steadily. However, the ability of large-scale production management is not achieved overnight. It took us several years to achieve a leap from 100 KK/month to several thousand KK/month. Here, I said to the Prime Minister, "Will the winter come when the spring is coming?" Learning is understood as "Will the winter come when the spring is far away? If you don't practice hard, will you spend the winter? Even if you will spend it, and you will Will the spring breeze blow to you?" The third is to strengthen the alliance and build a benign industrial ecological environment. Only by uniting and forming a joint force can we effectively resist internal and external troubles, natural disasters and man-made disasters. We have already formed strategic partnerships with several key enterprises in the industry to jointly tide over the crisis and further explore industrial development. The fourth is to strengthen the research of applied innovation. In the past few years, the wave has been able to continue to grow and develop after many crises, and it has benefited from this. Today, “customer-focused” and “use-oriented” have been solidified into corporate culture. Take Inspur Huaguang as an example: its main business is LED epitaxial and chip, not packaging and application, but it also builds a strong team of professionals in the field of powerful packaging and application while accumulating powerful extension and chip teams. This team refines the packaging and application characteristics of various application fields, and integrates into our epitaxial and chip design, making our products closer to the application and achieving good results. I think that winter is coming, and hibernation alone can only guarantee that we are alive. We must constantly absorb nutrients. Only when the body is strong can we show our talents in the spring not far away.


Regarding how to look at the future of China's LED or LED lighting industry, I believe that LED has many advantages in one, and its development prospects are unquestionable, but it is necessary to obtain technological and technological breakthroughs as soon as possible to reduce costs and further close to life.


Optoelectronic News Network: Do you think that the future LED industry will face those hot spots that need attention?


Xiao Chengfeng: I think that the current application field of LEDs only taps the tip of the iceberg of LED applications. The hotspots that need to be paid attention to in the future are technology transfer and application innovation.


Optoelectronics News: Will there be new product plans and technical blueprints in the future?


Xiao Chengfeng: At present, Huaguang already has four series of products such as blue, green and yellow, red and infrared. At the same time, as one of the shareholders, Inspur is actively participating in the IC industry led by the Shandong Provincial Government. I think we will Consider developing integrated products related to IC and LED.
