Electronic distributor Mouser Electronics has announced that it is currently purchasing Anwar High-Tech PowerPLCC-4 surface mount LEDs. Avago Technologies is a provider of analog interface components for communications, industrial and consumer applications.
Avago's HSMx-A46x series of high-brightness LEDs are available in a single-chip package that produces light output higher than the PLCC-2SMTLED. This series is suitable for automotive applications such as instrument panel backlights, dome lights, directional lights and third brake lights (CHMSL, CenterHeightMountedStoplights), as well as indoor and outdoor variable information signs. Other industrial applications include push buttons and signal indications.
As an extension of the standard flat-top PLCC-4SMTLED, the LSMx-A46x with lens provides a narrow viewing angle for applications requiring a focused source and high brightness. In addition, the package design with specially selected device materials allows the HSMx-A46x series of LEDs to provide reliable performance output over a wide temperature range.
In addition to high brightness, long-lasting and compact size, Avago's HSMx-A46x series can easily be soldered using traditional surface mount technology to minimize production costs while the package itself passes JEDEC humidity sensitivity level 2A. Certification.
