AR Glasses Meta2 Bounce: For a Better Experience

In June, Meta's CEO Meron Gribetz announced that the first few development versions of Meta2 were about to start shipping. But now Meta says it needs more time to prepare and provide users with a better quality experience.

“In the past year, we have been committed to making Meta 2 an industry-leading product for the augmented reality. We have already conducted Meta 2 Alpha and Beta tests and collected some important feedback from developers and other users. This completes our hardware and software solutions, and we are excited to make such a big progress, but there is no doubt that our work is not over yet. We will do our best to achieve a small amount of Meta 2 shipments by the end of 2016. And we continue to ship large-scale shipments early in 2017. We are confident that the finalization of the work will eventually be applied to Meta 2 to provide consumers with better products and SDKs."

In fact, the virtual reality and augmented reality industries are still in the early stage of development, and it is not surprising that there has been a jump in related products. However, as a consumer, it is not happy to have product skipping. When manufacturers use the reason “to bring better products to users” to appease consumers, consumers do not seem to reject the reasons. Although on the other hand, skipping a product is not entirely a bad thing. Compared to getting a product because of the poor quality of the product, Xiao Bian is more willing to wait patiently for a good product. However, manufacturers should do a comprehensive assessment of their products from the beginning to avoid repeated bounced products and cause consumer dissatisfaction.
