Sharp to assemble TV in the Philippines next month

Sharp said that it is expected that there will be a phase out of traditional CRT TVs in the Philippines. Therefore, more LCD TVs will be produced to meet market demand. It is estimated that the initial annual output value will reach 20,000 units, and the annual output value will increase to 200,000 units in the next three years.

Due to fierce competition in Japan, Europe, America, and China, coupled with the global financial crisis, pressures on consumption, and other pressure factors, Sharp Corporation regards the Southeast Asian market as a key area for getting out of trouble and maintaining sustained growth, while the Philippine market is on the CRT TV to the tablet. There are many favorable factors such as the upgrading of televisions, full-automatic washing machines, drum washing machines, and the emergence of wealthy people. This has become the focus of Sharp's Southeast Asian market expansion plans beyond Indonesia.
