Figure 1-4 shows a simple series linear regulated power supply circuit using a power MOSFET. The advantage of using a power MOS tube is that the drain-source current of the tube has a negative temperature coefficient and automatic current sharing and equalization. Therefore, when one tube cannot meet the output current requirement, multiple power MOS tubes can be directly connected in parallel, which is very convenient to use. Figure 1-5 shows a precision linear regulated power supply circuit using a power MOSFET. In the circuit, the TL431 is an adjustable reference voltage regulator triode. When the RP is adjusted, the voltage at the 1st terminal in the figure also changes. The voltage regulation value at the 3 terminal is V3=(1+Rrp/R2)Vref. In the formula, Vref=2.5V, and V3 is applied to the gate of the power MOS transistor after passing through R3. VT2 is a short-circuit protection tube. When the output terminal is short-circuited, VT2 is turned on, the gate voltage of VT1 is reduced to 0.7V, and VT1 is turned off, and the power output is cut off.
