The OLED panel does not emit any light when it is displayed in pure black, so its contrast can be infinite, and a good quality LCD panel may have a contrast ratio of only 1000:1. The "dynamic" contrast marked by LCD TVs is generally much higher than this value because it refers to the ability of the TV to adjust the backlight level according to the content of the screen, not the actual contrast.
Some LED LCD panels can actually achieve near-OLED contrast, such as direct-lit LEDs. The LED backlight of this panel is placed directly on the back of the LCD for more precise brightness control. These types of panels are generally only used in high-end TVs, but the results are good or bad.
It is worth noting that the direct-lit LED TV can only control one LED "area" or group, and still cannot achieve pixel-level control like OLED. When you watch a 21:9 movie on a 16:9 TV, the direct-lit LED handles the black side of the picture very well, but when dealing with more complex tasks, it doesn't perform as well, for example. When you display a bright object on a pure black background, you will see a glow effect because the backlight area does not exactly match the screen content.
