Nvidia Releases Tesla P4 and P40 Deep Learning Chips | GTC China 2016

Tesla P4 & P40's performance is equivalent to 40 CPUs, and its response speed is 45 times that of the CPU solution. At the same time, Pascal architecture can accelerate deep learning by 65 times. The latest generation of architecture, Pascal, is the first GPU designed specifically for deep learning.

In April of this year, NVIDIA introduced the Tesla P100 accelerator card, which is used to perform deep learning neural network tasks. Speed ​​is 12 times faster than high-end systems before Nvidia, R&D costs up to $2 billion, and 15 billion transistors integrated on a single chip, which is a core component of the upcoming DGX-1 Deep Learning System. The Tesla P100 focuses on learning and training tasks, while the Tesla P4&P40 is primarily responsible for image, text, and speech recognition.
