Japan's consumption of energy-saving LED lighting increases by 200% annually after the earthquake

On June 9, 2012, at the "Asian LED Summit 2012" held in Guangzhou, Mr. Nidaka, an executive director of the Japan Lighting Equipment Industry Association, stated that the Japanese government has adopted various measures to ease the power shortage after the earthquake in Japan. Promote LED lighting, so that LED lighting consumption increased by more than 200% annually, in addition, he called for the development of international LED testing standards, making the industry have more effective standards for judgment.

According to the mud canon introduction, after the Fukushima Earthquake occurred in March 2011, many areas in the eastern part of Japan have not yet resumed power supply. On May 5, 2012, the No. 3 generating unit of the mooring plant of Hokkaido Electric Power Co., Ltd. was shut down, and all nuclear power plants in operation in Japan were shut down. Before that, Japan's 30% of its electricity relied on nuclear power to generate electricity. The shutting down of nuclear power plants further exacerbated Japan's power shortage. "There was a system of alternating power cuts in various parts of Japan. Once the power was cut off, even traffic lights on the pavement would stop."

Based on this, the Japanese government began to implement the "ecological points" program, as well as the establishment and implementation of the green procurement law, electrical appliance safety law. Among these policies, including energy-saving incentives for lighting facilities, the use of LED lighting in the region, depending on the degree of energy saving, further reduce the price. Although this plan began before the Great East Japan Earthquake, its promotion still played an important role in post-war Japan's energy conservation. In 2011, sales of LED lighting in Japan increased by 268% from the previous year, and in 2012 it is expected to increase by another 185%. The mud canon means that sales of LED lighting products accounted for about 20% of all lighting products sales in 2011, and this proportion is expected to reach 42% this year.

In order to further promote the use of LED lighting, Mud canon also proposed the development of LED lighting industry international standards. According to the Japanese Lighting Industry Association's comparison test of 12 kinds of LED lighting products on the Japanese market, when the same product is tested using the US Department of Energy's LED performance standards and the use of the Japan Light Industry Association's LED performance standards, the difference between the two is close to 50 %. "Therefore, it is very necessary to establish a universal international test standard."

Candang believes that the new international standards should be able to specify the LED lighting performance standard parameters, such as luminous flux, color temperature, life, etc., while providing consumers with clear and understandable instructions to distinguish between a variety of different LED product.

A battery charging contact consists of a base plate, which is installed on the floor or laterally at a bracket adjacent of the AGV runway, and a current collector which is installed on the vehicle.

A Battery Charger supplies current to the base plate. Once the AGV is in charging position and the collector has made contact with the base plate, the AGV computer turns on the current.

The base plate has chamfered entry/exit ramps to facilitate smooth drive-on/drive-off of the spring loaded collector.
