According to an Israeli blogger, The Verifier, Apple’s new iPhone will carry Apple’s unique Smart Connector for inductive “wireless†charging and connecting VR/AR accessories. Apple currently uses this smart connection technology only on the iPad Pro product line.
This is not the first time that Apple’s new iPhone will be equipped with a smart connector. Before the release of the iPhone 7 last year, there were rumors that the iPhone 7 Plus will be equipped with this smart connectivity feature on the back.
There is always rumors that the new iPhone will use wireless charging technology, but the same inductive wireless charging technology used on the Apple Watch may be disappointing.
The blog believes Apple will also use smart connectors for augmented reality/virtual reality accessory connections. The report also announced that the new Apple TV and AirPlay technology will also play a role in Apple's VR/AR vision.
