"Road Tunnel Lighting Design Regulations" (approved for short) (hereinafter referred to as the "Rules") are applicable to new and modified tunnels for mountain highways, first-class and second-grade highways, and can be implemented with reference to newly-built tunnels and rebuilt tunnels for third and fourth-grade highways. .
The Rules provide more detailed provisions on the length of the tunnel:
(1) Illumination shall be provided for highways, highway tunnels with a length of more than 200m, highways with a length of 100m to 200m and "optical long tunnels" for first-grade highways;
(2) Secondary road tunnels with a length greater than 500m should be provided with lighting;
(3) Tunnels with a length greater than 100 m and without illumination shall be provided with self-luminous induction facilities on the curb or side wall.
The division of tunnel lighting segments in the Rules:
(1) Divided into entrance section, transition section, middle section, exit section, outside approach lighting and approaching section of the tunnel, etc. (2) One-way traffic tunnel lighting can be illuminated by entrance section, transition section lighting, middle section lighting, exit section Illumination, outside approach lighting of the tunnel, and light reduction facility near the entrance (3) The two-way traffic tunnel lighting system can consist of entrance section lighting, transition section lighting, middle section lighting, outside-aided approach lighting, and near-end section light-reducing facilities.
The biggest change in the "Details": a clear provision for the application of LED lamps:
When the LED light source is used for lighting in the middle section of the tunnel, the design brightness is taken as 50% of the brightness standard in the middle section, but not less than 1.0 cd/m2.
