OPT5256 is a highly integrated system-on-chip solution that can support the compilation and decoding of multiple music formats, including MP3, WMA and AAC. It can also decode JPEG files used in photo display. The most prominent function of OPT5256 is that it can directly convert CD to MP3, and compress the SD card or USB flash storage. In addition to the USB connection and SD interface, OPT5256 also combines most peripheral devices on a single chip, such as memory, LCD display control, and many input / output devices.
