Apple TV 4K teardown report: familiar modular components

Apple released the iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X three phones in September, and also brought Apple Watch Series 3 and Apple TV 4K products. In the past few days, iFixit has brought iPhone 8 and iPhone to everyone. The dismantling of 8 Plus and Apple Watch Series 3, apart from the fact that the iPhone X is not yet on the market, today brought the dismantling of the last new Apple TV 4K that has been released. Let ’s review the main configuration parameters of Apple TV 4K first:

The bottom cover, like the familiar design of previous generations, uses a buckle to fix it without using screws. Open the bottom plate of the iFixit light car, you can see that the fan parts are fixed with hexagon screws.

　　  

　　  

After removing the screws, a large Apple turbo fan was separated, and the heat generated by the A10X chip and 4K HDR can be imagined.

The rest of the structure is similar to the previous generation Apple TV. There are no surprises. Only the power supply is worth seeing. Like the previous generation, there are two screws used as contacts. It should be powered by the two screws and the logic board.

The repairability score given by iFixit is 8 points (out of 10 points), which is the same as the previous generation Apple TV 4.

-The plastic buckle at the bottom is easy to disassemble;

-Modular components are also easy to repair and assemble;
